According to someone on the FC forum (a popular vapor forum), the bad taste has to do with where the wiring is located. It seems as if the individual who exposed this design flaw works or at least worked for Storz & Bickel, makers of the Volcano & Plenty vaporizers, at some point and so it’s no surprise they have an eye for such things. While this, or perhaps it’s something else entirely, seems to distort the taste a bit, it’s not really that bad and some people, like my friend, dont’ mind the taste at all. That said, lets move onto the next part, the cool part, reasons why you might want one.

If you didn’t realize, this Carhartt jacket is actually called the “Active Jac” and not jacket, however, it’s obviously still a jacket. Formalities aside, let’s move onto the pockets. The front “hand” pockets on the active jac that are on the outside are a bit shallow. I wouldn’t suggest carrying anything important in them, but all the same, they’re quite large and would allow one to place larger objects inside of them without much trouble getting them in. Perhaps this is useful for some of you. The left chest pocket is considered a map pocket and is good for storage. There are two pockets inside and one of them actually has a port that allows you to string the wire for your headset/headphones through for convenience.

 
The main seams are triple stitched. The cuffs are rib knit and along with the waistband are used to help seal in the heat to keep you warm. The hood is, in my opinion, functional. When it’s snowing and the wind is blowing, we like having a hood that can actually help keep the snow from lashing us in the eyes and this one does a fairly good job because it droops down over the forehead and helps shield the eyes. The pull-up hood is quilt-lined and like most hoods it has a draw cord.
